Meet Captain Chelsea
Chelsea is the youngest of the Nauti Sisters, but she’s no stranger to hard work on the water. Raised in Belfast, Maine, she grew up surrounded by maritime culture and a thriving working waterfront. At 15, she began exploring Penobscot Bay and quickly discovered her deep connection to the ocean—a connection that’s only grown through years of aquaculture and lobstering work.
From sorting oyster seed to hauling gear in freezing temperatures, Chelsea brings grit, enthusiasm, and an unwavering work ethic to the farm. She’s spent summers lobstering, winters cultivating mussels on icy barges, and countless hours on the farm.
A graduate of Kents Hill School, Chelsea was a three-sport varsity athlete, a National Honor Society member, and a student leader. She’s currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with a Marine Sciences minor at Northeastern University. As a Global Scholar, she studied in Oakland and London, where she expanded her worldview and deepened her appreciation for coastal communities around the globe.
When she’s not working or studying, Chelsea is likely skiing, hiking New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers, thrifting and upcycling clothing, or playing on Northeastern’s Club Field Hockey team. In 2024, she was named the 2nd Delegate in the Maine Lobster Festival Delegate Competition, where she proudly advocated for Maine’s lobster industry and inspired others to get involved in sustaining the state’s working waterfront.
