We’re on TV! Watch Nauti Sisters on Only in Portland, Maine

A TV Feature Celebrating Maine Makers, Music, and (of course) Oysters 🦪

We’re beyond excited to share that Nauti Sisters Sea Farm was recently featured on the latest episode of Only In: Portland, Maine — a show that celebrates the people, places, and passions that make Maine so special. The episode is now streaming free on the Very Local app, and we’re honored to be featured alongside two other inspiring local stories.

What’s Only In: Portland, Maine About?

This episode of Only In tells three unique stories rooted in Maine’s character, creativity, and coast:

🪓 Brant & Cochran – A South Portland business reviving Maine’s axe-making heritage with hand-forged heirloom tools. Their story honors the state’s logging history and brings new life to a centuries-old craft.
🎶 Bondeko – A multicultural musical group blending global traditions right here in Maine. With bandmates from Albania, West Africa, France, and Texas, Bondeko is creating a whole new sound — and celebrating Maine’s growing migrant communities.
🌊 Nauti Sisters Sea Farm – That’s us! Two sisters from Yarmouth who took a big risk to build a sustainable aquaculture business. From turning down graduate school fellowships to launching hands-on oyster tours, we’re proud to share how far we’ve come — and where we’re headed next.

Why This Means So Much

Being part of this show is more than a media moment — it’s a celebration of the values we care about most: hard work, community, creativity, and connection to place. Whether you’re forging steel, writing songs, or pulling oyster cages from the bay, there’s something powerful about building something with your own hands — and sharing it with others.

As Alicia says in the episode:

“I was giving up a full fellowship to graduate school to chase this wild dream. We’ve grown six times in size and more than tripled our production.”

We’re grateful that our story is being shared alongside other bold, Maine-based makers and dreamers.

About the Show

Only in Portland, Maine explores the people, places, and passions that make the Portland area one-of-a-kind — from bold food to hardworking folks. And we’re proud to be one of the stories featured! The episode follows us out on the water, gives you a peek at our oyster farm, and dives into what it means to build a small business on Maine’s working waterfront.

It’s heartfelt, muddy, salty, and (spoiler alert) full of oysters.
