We’re in National Geographic Traveller (UK)!

We are still a little surprised by this one. Nauti Sisters Sea Farm was featured in the May 2025 issue of National Geographic Traveller UK. The magazine included us in a roundup of the best food experiences in Portland, Maine.

What the Feature Says

Writer Zoey Goto visited Maine’s working waterfront and found us in the middle of a typical morning — pulling gear, sorting oysters, and sharing the story of how three sisters ended up farming shellfish together in Casco Bay. The piece describes Nauti Sisters as a small but mighty oyster operation and captures the unglamorous, deeply satisfying reality of working on the water.

We were featured alongside some of Portland’s most celebrated food destinations. It is an honor to be in that company and to represent Maine’s aquaculture community on an international stage.

What This Means for Maine Oysters

National Geographic Traveller reaching UK readers with a feature on Maine oysters says something about where the state’s food culture stands right now. Maine’s working waterfront is drawing attention from travelers around the world. The oysters, the stories, and the people behind them are part of that.

We are proud to be part of what makes this coast worth traveling to. Read more about our story and what we are building here.
