Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a tour?

All tours are booked online through our reservation system. Simply choose your experience, select your date and time, and you're on your way. We recommend booking in advance as spots fill up quickly, especially in summer.

F
G

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance, especially for summer weekends. Tours fill up fast and we'd hate for you to miss out. If you're planning a large group or private event, reach out as early as possible so we can build the perfect experience for you.

Do we get to taste oysters?

Yes! It wouldn't be a Nauti Sisters tour without them. Fresh oysters pulled straight from Casco Bay are part of every tour experience.

Are tours BYOB?

Of course! We just ask that everyone drink responsibly and stay safe on the water. Though we have our own coolers and ice, feel free to bring one of our own.

Can we go swimming?

You don't want to, trust us! Maine waters are beautiful but cold, and our boats are working vessels. We'll keep you close enough to appreciate the bay without taking a dip.

What should we wear?

Dress for the water and the weather. Layers are always smart on the Maine coast — even on a warm summer day, it can get breezy out on the bay. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet, and bring a light jacket just in case.

Is this experience family friendly?

Yes! We welcome guests of all ages. Kids love getting hands-on with the farm and spotting wildlife along the Royal River.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is always our first priority. In the event of dangerous weather conditions, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule. Maine weather can be unpredictable and we'll always make the call that keeps our guests and crew safe.

How many people can join a tour?

Our standard tours accommodate up to 6 guests per boat. For groups of 7–12, we run two boats in tandem so your whole party stays together on the water. For larger groups of up to 46 guests, we offer custom programming through our charter partnerships.

Do you actually grow the oysters on the farm?

Yes! We grow premium oysters in the cold, clean waters of Casco Bay right here in Yarmouth, Maine. What you taste on the tour comes from our farm, not a distributor.

Are your farming practices sustainable?

Sustainability is core to how we operate. Our farm barge, Marge, runs entirely on solar power. Oysters themselves are one of the most sustainable foods on the planet — they filter the water as they grow, requiring no feed, no freshwater, and no land.

Can you accommodate a bachelorette party / birthday / corporate group?

Absolutely and we love them. Private charters can be fully customized around your group's goals — oyster tastings, lobster trap demos, coastal cruising, or a drop-off at Chebeague Island Inn. Get in touch and we'll build something around you.

Where do I park?

Free parking is available at our launch location at 209 Old Shipyard Rd, Yarmouth, ME 04096.
